Is this really free?
Yes! All PDFToolBox tools are completely free. We sustain the site through non-intrusive advertising.
Are my files safe?
Absolutely. All processing happens in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to any server. We literally cannot see your documents.
Why isn't my conversion perfect?
Since all processing runs client-side in your browser, some complex conversions (especially PDF to Word/Excel) may have limitations. For best results, use text-based PDFs rather than scanned documents.
What browsers are supported?
PDFToolBox works on all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We recommend keeping your browser updated for the best experience.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no hard limit, but very large files (over 100MB) may be slow depending on your device's capabilities.
Can I use PDFToolBox offline?
Once loaded, most tools can work without an internet connection since processing happens locally. However, you need internet to initially load the site.
